Every scent tells a story.
A few years ago, candle businesses started popping up everywhere—but most felt generic and safe. Failed Hobbies had something different: a cheeky, emotionally resonant brand that labels your chaos, your calm, and your "kind of spiraling but self-aware" energy. They don't just sell candles—they curate stories through scent with phrases that feel impossibly giftable and totally irresistible to collect.

This wasn't your typical vanilla candle company. Working through Good Spark agency, I needed to build an e-commerce experience that matched their "stylish, cheeky, and a little unhinged" personality while creating systems that could grow beyond candles into home goods, prints, and apparel.
The brand also didn't have product imagery yet—which meant we were stretching a few select mockups into a full website.
